Expressive MIDI input

Available over both USB MIDI and the 3.5 mm TRS MIDI input. Synth channels 1-3
address tracks 1-3. The configured drum channel (default 10) addresses drums.
Other channels play the selected track; held notes keep their original track
when selection changes. Saved presets and project formats are unchanged.

MIDI STATUS DISPLAY
On GLO > SYSTEM, turn knob 1 left for USB status or right for TRS status.
The first column is labelled MIDI and displays USB ON/--/OFF or TRS ON/RX/OFF.
USB ON means configured with a host; -- means waiting; OFF means USB is unavailable.
TRS ON means enabled, not cable detection; RX highlights received bytes for 250 ms.
This selects the status view only: both inputs stay active. It resets to USB at boot.
The original SYNC --, ROUT -- and CPU columns are unchanged.

PITCH BEND
14-bit MIDI Pitch Bend, centre 8192; default range +/-2 semitones.
Changes are smoothed over several audio blocks. Notes retain their original
note-off identity. The range can be set per channel using RPN 0:
  CC101 = 0, CC100 = 0, CC6 = semitones (0-24), CC38 = cents (0-99)
  CC101 = 127, CC100 = 127 to deselect the RPN afterward.
For +/-12 semitones use CC6=12 and CC38=0. Range is runtime state, reset on boot.
Pitch is bounded by the existing engine ranges. GRAIN applies the new pitch
as grains are spawned; its existing grains finish at their original rate.

MOD WHEEL
CC1 adds independent sine vibrato at 5 Hz. 0 = none; 127 = +/-50 cents.
The amount is smoothed. The preset's saved LFO, modulation depths, and sound
parameters are not changed. Pitch bend and vibrato add together.

PANIC / RESET
CC123 All Notes Off: release the channel's notes through their normal envelopes.
The sustain pedal is respected. If no keys/pedal notes remain when the command
arrives, latched arp notes are cleared too; use CC120 for unconditional silence.
CC120 All Sound Off: silence the addressed part(s), overriding sustain and long
release settings. Synth voices fade over one control block to avoid clicks;
drums use their short declick tail. Captured SLICER repeats are cleared.
Shared reverb/delay tails may continue. These commands do not stop the sequencer;
it can trigger new notes on the next scheduled step.
CC121 Reset All Controllers: centres pitch bend, removes wheel vibrato, releases
pedal-held notes, and deselects RPN. Physically held notes and bend range remain.

SUSTAIN
CC64 >=64 = pedal down; <64 = pedal up. Pedal-up releases only notes whose keys
have already been released. Repeated notes, note-on velocity zero, mono/legato/
unison modes, and switching the selected track are handled. Sustained arp inputs
stay in the arp until pedal release (ARP HOLD can keep them latched afterward).
Sustain extends note duration in live recording; bend/wheel automation is not recorded.
Drum one-shots ignore bend, wheel and sustain; CC120 can silence them.

ROUTING LIMITS
USB and TRS share MIDI channel state. They are not independent per-port parts.
Each synth part has one bend/wheel state; multiple channels sharing a part use
the last applied controller values. Use separate channels 1-3 for independent parts.
This is channel expression, not MPE or per-note pitch bend.
For selected-track channels, controllers reach the selected track and tracks
still holding that channel's notes. Released tracks do not stay linked indefinitely.

HARDWARE CHECK
1. On channel 1, hold a note and move pitch bend to each end and back to centre.
2. Move CC1 up/down: vibrato should fade in/out without altering the preset.
3. Hold a chord with CC64 down; release keys; lift pedal. Sound should release.
4. Try CC123 with pedal down (notes remain), then CC120 (voices stop).
5. Try channels 2/3 and repeat over USB. Check mono/legato and ARP if you use them.
