Restore original firmware

Return your instrument to its official M-VAVE firmware over normal USB. Choose the exact physical model: Pro and Elite files are different.

Back up any sounds or projects you want to keep.
Connect only the target instrument directly by USB. Close Studio, Simulator and other MIDI apps.
Prepare the official file, confirm the notice, then restore. Keep power and USB connected until the original firmware is confirmed.

The correct original firmware loads automatically for all three models. No separate download or file selection is needed.

Optional: use an official file from this computer

If the automatic download is unavailable, choose the matching official FM-1 V15, Pro 016 or Elite 016 file. Files are checked locally and are not uploaded.

I selected my exact model and backed up what I need. Restoring replaces the current firmware. Custom projects and settings may not open and may be overwritten by the original firmware.

USB restoration requires desktop Chrome or Edge. No firmware operation runs automatically.

Restore log

The custom SMK loader writes only the official application region, retaining the bootloader and device calibration. This does not recover old factory presets or replace a backup. Unsupported older custom builds are refused. A power interruption during programming may require hardware recovery.
