Install Melodee’s dual-core renderer using a direct USB cable. FM6/Prophet playing, USB capture and project saves have been checked on an SMK-37 Pro. See the known beta limits below.

Checking the staged build…

Prepare your installation

Export any important projects and presets from your current firmware. Other firmware’s device saves are not automatically compatible with Melodee.
Close Studio, Simulator and other MIDI apps. Use current desktop Chrome or Edge with a direct USB data connection.
Select your model and the firmware currently on your SMK. Preparation checks the files without connecting to your device.
After preparation, confirm the notice and click Install. Allow MIDI/SysEx access, and leave power and USB connected throughout.

Use an official file already on this computer

Optional fallback if automatic download is unavailable. Select the unmodified official Pro 016 or Elite 016 .fwsc for your model. It stays on this computer.

I understand this is an experimental Melodee SMK dual-core beta. Four-note FM6/Prophet loads can shed voices or miss audio deadlines. First-time storage setup replaces existing saved music and samples only after a verified backup and separate confirmation. An interrupted or failed installation may require hardware recovery.

Restore original M-VAVE firmware

Preparing files does not flash anything. Installation starts only after you click Install and grant MIDI access.

Still being integrated

User sample uploads and Bluetooth remain unavailable. The new device storage, TRS and USB audio integration needs the b1 hardware checks. Browser sessions save separately in Studio and Simulator.

Pro and Elite package generation and loader behavior pass offline tests. The earlier dev1 build boots and plays on the tester’s SMK; b1’s new integrations still need device validation. The stock Elite loader may require a device confirmation before installation continues. Physical Elite handoff testing remains pending.

First-time device saves

After installing b1, open storage backup and setup. Download the verified backup before initializing, then restart the SMK. Setup is separate from firmware installation.

Protected data

The custom RAM updater validates the flash profile and calibration, verifies the complete package before erasing, and limits writes to the application region. The stock route uses the matching official 016 loader. Neither route is a backup of your existing music.
